35-12 'Modena'

Graceful lines are plentiful and well placed on Modena. This pipe has remarkable straight grain on the bowl and shank, shown off by a red-orange contrast stain. Birdseye grain peppers the top and bottom of the shank as well as rolling up below the bowl. The band is made from gorgeous pre-ban elephant ivory, and the flared saddle stem is made from highest-quality German ebonite. Both flare and saddle are exceptionally thin.
